Terremoto homepage: a full-screen artwork photograph with the latest articles listed over it

Built as part of the team at IDA, a digital agency in Santiago de Chile.

Context

Terremoto is a contemporary art magazine covering Latin America from Mexico City. Its website is the publication itself: long-form editorial, field reports from across the region, announcements from galleries and fairs, and a deep archive — in Spanish and English.

Challenge

An art publication lives and dies by its images and its archive. The platform has to present image-heavy, long-form content with the care of a printed magazine, keep years of articles organised and findable, and stay fast while doing it.

What I built

  • Dynamic content

Templates driven by structured content, so pages are assembled from what the editors publish.

  • Advanced editorial structure

A content structure shaped around how the magazine publishes: sections, series and the archive.

  • Image optimization

Image handling tuned for a publication where large, high-quality images are the content.
